Paramount Q3 profit surges eightfold

KUALA LUMPUR: Paramount Corp Bhd’s net profit in the third quarter ended September 30 surged almost eightfold to RM85.76 million from RM11.16 million in the same period a year ago, attributed to a gain from disposal of asset. Paramount’s revenue increased by 41.79 per cent to RM191.10 million in the third quarter from RM134.78 million a year ago due to higher contribution from both the property and education divisions.
