COUPLE AND SON FOUND MURDERED
Trader, wife had stab wounds, son hit on the head
THREE members of a family were found brutally murdered at a home in Taman Bahagia, near Wakaf Mek Zainab, yesterday.
The victims have been identified as trader Kha Eng Ni, 42; his wife Chua Joo Seok, 37; and their son Kha Zee Hanz, 13.
The couple were found with stab wounds on their chest, while their son was hit by a sharp object on his head.
Deputy Kelantan police chief Datuk Din Ahmad said police received a call from an unidentified person about 2.30pm.
“The caller told the police that a man’s body was lying in a pool of blood in the house.
“We sent a team to investigate and discovered the three bodies,” he said at the scene yesterday.
He said Eng Ni’s body was found in the living room, Chua’s in the kitchen and their son at the store entrance.
Din said the couple’s other child, identified as Kha Xing Ruu, 15, was also attacked.
She is in critical condition and has been sent to Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital.
He said police believed the murder took place about an hour before the bodies were found.
“Initial investigations showed that the victims were attacked one at a time.
“Police also believe that revenge could be the motive behind the killings.
“There is no sign of break-in and the couple still had their valuables on them,” he said.
He said police would continue their investigations and track down the perpetrator, who they believed had escaped using Kha’s van.
