FATTAH, FAZURA TO TIE THE KNOT?
Speculation is rife that Fattah and Fazura may wed in Saudi Arabia after announcing they are performing umrah together. BIBI NURSHUHADA RAMLI has the story
FANS of artistes Fattah Amin, 27, and Nur Fazura, 34, were in a frenzy on Tuesday when marriage rumours of their two favourite stars spread.
However, neither of the two have come forward to confirm or deny the speculation. Instead, they released a joint statement yesterday saying that they had left the country to perform their umrah in Saudi Arabia.
Accompanied by their respective family members and management teams, what is playing on everyone’s mind is that the two may plan to wed in the Holy Land.
Fattah and his Hero Seorang Cinderella co-star, would be holding a press conference on Nov 23, after their return from Mecca.
They have kept their fans wondering about their relationship status ever since the two costarred in the hit drama series, aired last May on Astro Ria. Their chemistry seemed palpable that their fans want them to be an item for real.
And all this came to a head last Tuesday when a source told Harian Metro that the two were tying the knot at Fazura’s grandmother’s residence in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The daily reported that the house had tents filled with guests, and security around the area was tight. It could not be determined as to what kind of ceremony was held, but the white tents and decorations made it appear as if it was a wedding ceremony.
Fattah’s manager Sakirin Shak, when met at the venue, refused to divulge any details but instead told reporters to wait for an announcement from Fattah.
Following the rumours circulating on social media, many of Fattah’s Instagram followers left wishes for the “couple” on their “marriage”, prompting people to believe that the two had really gotten hitched.
Soon after, however, the comments disappeared, most likely deleted by the account’s moderator to prevent the rumours from spreading.
Prior to this, there were also rumours that the couple had chosen Nov 13 as the date of their engagement. The two, however, had denied it then, promising that if there were to be such an occasion, they would share the news with everyone.
