Big catch for Hafiz

SOMETHING fishy is going on with Hafiz Suip. Thanks to his co-hosting stint on Astro’s Unplugged With Elly Ariffin earlier this year, he has been given the opportunity to helm an online show.

Those who trawl the YouTube-sphere might have noticed Hafiz Hook TV.

The online series is about fishing, which is Hafiz’s favourite pastime. However, it has a mission: Hafiz is on a quest to get more people interested in the sport.

Several episodes of Hafiz Hook TV have already featured an introduction to fishing, a couple on his fishing trips and another of him reviewing fishing trip videos of other anglers.

Produced by Rocketfuel Entertainment, future episodes will include the host sharing fishing tips and tricks. They will also feature him bringing fans on his fishing trips.

Hafiz, 27, hopes the show will encourage people to practise the “catch and release” method when they go fishing so as not to disrupt the ecosystem.

“Before I began hosting I didn’t know that I could do TV hosting. But now I’m beginning to like it very much,” he said at the launch of Rocketfuel Entertainment in Petaling Jaya recently.

“In fact, I find it much easier compared to singing,” said the curly-haired singer who feels he needs to explore other avenues to keep himself relevant.

On another note, Hafiz who married Nureffy Jasreel in May last year is thrilled about becoming a father next Hafiz is thrilled about becoming a father next year. year. Their baby is expected to arrive on Jan 14.
