TMJ urged to return to JDT

-

JOHOR Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have made a request for owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim to focus on his club.

This was made known by JDT president, Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim, who feels that her brother Tunku Ismail, who is also the president of the FA of Malaysia (FAM), deserves to enjoy the success that the team have achieved and will achieve in the future.

“I call on Tunku Ismail to please return to JDT and focus on the club’s projects.

“As someone who has been responsible for JDT’s success both on and off the field, Tunku Ismail should be here so he can truly enjoy all that has been achieved,” said Tunku Tun Aminah on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page on Sunday.

The statement by Tunku Tun Aminah is seen as touching on the fact that Tunku Ismail shoulders a huge responsibility as president of FAM.

However, Tunku Ismail stated last week that he will not vacate his FAM seat.

Tunku Tun Aminah also revealed that 10 corporate suites at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Larkin, which is still under construction, have already been booked.

It is a clear indication of just how far JDT have come in terms of success off the field, as each corporate suite is said to cost RM500,000 a season.

“I would like to express my gratitude to those who have been supporting JDT’s football club project,” added Tunku Tun Aminah.
