SHAH ALAM: A 49-year-old woman, who was captured on video being abducted by three men outside a factory on Friday, was found safe in Kampung Jawa here that same night.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Shafien Mamat said the public spotted S. Jothimani at 10.30pm near the factory in Section 36.

“They heard someone screaming and, upon rushing to the location, saw the victim bleeding. She was sent to a private hospital in Klang for treatment.”

Shafien said the victim, a mother of two, was blindfolded and beaten by her abductors.

“They took the victim’s mobile phone and belongings. She claims that she does not know any of her abductors. Police are hunting down the suspects.”

The victim’s brother, S. Sathya, 33, said his sister was being treated at the hospital.

The case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code for abduction.

It is learnt that Jothimani received a call from an alleged delivery service to collect an item she had bought online.

However, she was abducted by three men in a white Mercedes Benz with the registration number, KEE 46.

A message written by a family member requesting anyone with information on the case to contact the family of the victim, along with a 33-second video clip, went viral.

In the footage, the woman is seen approaching a white car parked outside the factory building.

A man wearing a cap is seen waiting by the car boot, holding packages. When the victim approaches him, the man pushes her towards the car’s rear door, where another man, who is in the car, pulls her in.

Two men from the building rush out to stop the car, but it speeds off.

The factory supervisor lodges a report.
