-

ACADEMY Mokhtar Dahari (AMD) did Malaysia proud when all three of their agegroup (Under-12, Under-13 and Under-14) teams won their respective semi-final matches in the SuperMokh Cup yesterday.

In the Under-12 category, AMD Malaysia Cougars defeated Japan’s Kashima Antlers 2-1 to make the final. They will face Portugal’s Sporting CP today.

AMD’s Under-13 and Under-14 teams defeated French side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in their respective semi-final matches.

AMD Under-13 side edged PSG 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time while the Under-14 team defeated the French side 1-0.

Under-14 coach Ahmad Nurfaizal said his side are ready to face Arsenal in the final today.

“I am satisfied today as my players played according to the plan. We pressured an unsettled PSG to seal the win.

“I will have to assess my players’ condition first before the final. We need to be consistent tomorrow,” he said.
