BABY AQEEF’S REALITY SHOW

Amyra Rosli and Amar Baharin tell SYAHIRAH MOKHTAZAR why their baby’s identity was kept a secret

-

FANS of celebrity couple Amyra Rosli and Amar Baharin were elated when they welcomed their newborn son on Oct 15.

Many had waited anxiously for the couple to release pictures of their baby and to know his name. Alas, the baby was introduced only through photos that did not fully reveal his face.

Fans wondered why the new parents appeared to hide their son’s identity, despite having the baby’s Instagram account set up by Amar.

It was only recently that Amyra, 26, and Amar, 32, properly introduced their son, Aqeef Anaqi, on social media.

“We did not reveal his face because we had signed an exclusive contract with Astro, which has produced a reality show called The Adventure Of Aqeef Amyramar,” said Amyra at Aqeef’s cukur jambul event at Wangsa Walk Mall in Kuala Lumpur recently.

“We have agreed to the terms and conditions of the contract, which required us to keep certain details about Aqeef under wraps before the show premiered.

“We did not intend to hide him on purpose.

“As parents, we are excited about our baby boy.

“There were so many updates we wish we could have shared with our followers, but we had to be patient,” said Amar.

The reality show, which had its premiere on Dec 6 on Astro Ria (channel 104) and Astro Ria HD (channel 123), shares details of Amyra’s pre- and post-pregnancy journey.

It airs every Wednesday at 9pm and is made up of eight episodes.
