Irked by horrible road condition

-

DESPITE numerous complaints lodged by residents of Pantai Hillpark apartments on the poor road condition in the area, the situation has not improved.

A resident, who wanted to be known only as Rosman, said Jalan Pantai Murni 1 was the only entry and exit route for residents in Phase one to five of Pantai Hillpark apartments.

“The road condition in the area is deplorable. The utility companies that dug up the stretch for upgrading work are doing a poor job of patching up the holes.”

Another resident, who wanted to be known only as Sue, said the horrible road condition prevented motorists from slowing down their vehicles.

“It’s even more difficult for motorists who drive uphill. I hope the City Hall will do something about it.”

ACTIONLINE:

A City Hall spokesman said the council would inspect the road.

“We will check if the utility companies’ contractors are carrying out proper repairs along the stretch.”

He said the contractors must apply for a permit before digging up the road.

“If the road is not patched up properly, the City Hall will instruct them to redo it.”

He said the public could contact the City Hall call centre at 1800-88-3255 or submit a complaint via its website, www. dbkl.gov.my.
