Pastor Koh’s family ‘in the dark’

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Pastor Raymond Koh’s wife is frustrated that she is being kept in the dark on developments in her husband’s kidnapping.

Susanna Koh said she and her children did not know that suspect Lam Chan Nam, who was held last year for extortion, had been charged with kidnapping.

In a statement yesterday, she said if police were unable to link the suspect to her husband’s abduction, she would demand proper answers from them.

“If this truly is a breakthrough and if this so-called ‘new lead’ is authentic, if this person is really linked to the abduction of Raymond Koh, then the whole world will be watching this case very closely to scrutinise police investigation.”

She expressed her disappointment and claimed that the new development was to disrupt the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia’s inquiry into her husband’s abduction.

“They did not even attempt to inform me and my children of this so-called new development.”

Lam claimed trial on March 15 last year to extorting RM30,000 from Koh’s son, Jonathan Koh Szu Hao, 33, to secure the pastor’s release.

Koh, 62, is believed to have been abducted by masked men in Jalan SS 4B/10 on Feb 13 last year.

A video of Koh’s alleged abduction went viral on social media.
