Audreylaura upbeat for fight in Indonesia

-

AUDREYLAURA Boniface is feeling excited and confident as she takes on Indonesia’s Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol in today’s One: Kings of Courage strawweight bout at the Jakarta Convention Centre.

The 28-year-old said she is ready for the expected booing from Indonesian fans during the fight.

“I will block out the booing from fans. When I am in the cage nothing else will matter except Priscilla.

“And I will tell myself that I need to focus and do well in the fight,” said Audreylaura, a medical doctor and martial arts expert with a black belt in taekwondo.

Also known as Ice Comet, Audreylaura has been away from the cage for over 10 months due to work commitments.

“Priscilla is a good fighter. Her strong points are striking and kicking, but I’m not really worried about her,” said Audreylaura.

Priscilla is aware that her Kota Kinabalu-born exponent is an excellent fighter.

The Indonesian will try to keep herself off the floor during the fight.

“She is strong on the ground, but weak when it comes to striking,” said Priscilla, who represented Indonesia in wushu at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.

Priscilla, also a two-time Wushu World Championships bronze medallist, said: “I want to prove myself tomorrow and win the fight.” Farah Azharie
