ELECTION issues raised by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad point to his personal agenda, said Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

Annuar said Dr Mahathir’s campaign against the Barisan Nasional government, mostly linked to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, came at the expense of people and the country.

“He is not doing the people or the country any favour in terms of progress.”

“Dr Mahathir and the components in Pakatan Harapan, including Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), are harping on issues to make the people hate the government.”

Annuar said the 93-year-old PPBM chairman and Pakatan Harapan prime ministerial candidate, should the opposition win in the 14th General Election, was doing this because he could not control the government of the day.

“Dr Mahathir is desperate to be in power again and this was why he has turned to desperate measures,” he said after handing over uniforms to 400 People’s Volunteer Corps members at SMK Kadok here.

Annuar, who is Ketereh member of parliament, said people should be wary of the opposition’s strategies.

“He will come up with issues with no basis or facts.

“The BN leadership under Najib has brought about a lot of transformation, which has led to progress and stability in the country.

“BN will come up with a manifesto and people can count on the ruling coalition to deliver it when the time comes.”
