Volvo launches all-new XC60

VOLVO Cars Malaysia has launched its latest sport-utility vehicle (SUV), the all-new XC60 Twin Engine T8 Inscriptio­n Plus, priced from RM373,888.

With more than a milthe lion units of XC60 sold worldwide so far, the latest iteration is offered as a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) with a 2-litre turbocharg­ed and supercharg­ed encombined gine.

The power from the petrol and electric powerplant is 407hp and 640Nm, giving the XC60 the ability to acelfrom erate 0 to 100kph in 5.3 seconds.

With a 10.4KWh battery, the SUV has a range of 45km, and consumes 2.1litre of petrol per 100km.

The XC60 is built on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architectu­re platform.

Exterior features include daytime running lights with Thor LED headlamps and front bumper with chrome grill.

The new XC60 now has a longer wheelbase, is wider and features a panaromic roof.

Interior features include the use of more luxurious wood and metal in the dashboard and door panels, 9-inch Sensus touchscree­n, a premium sound system from Bowers & Wilkins and leather seats with electric adjustabil­ity.

The XC60 is also equipped with safety features, such as Volvo’s IntelliSaf­e City Safety with autonomous braking, Blind Spot Informatio­n System, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, six airbags and more.

The Volvo XC60 T8 Inscriptio­n Plus is offered at RM373,888 (on the road without insurance) with a limited 100 units available. It is a Completely Built Up unit.

Completely Knocked

Down units will be available in the first quarter of this year, with three variants available, namely the XC60

T5, T8 Inscriptio­n and T8 Inscriptio­n Plus priced at RM298,888,

RM333,888 and

RM343,888, respective­ly.

Customers can choose from a choice of five colours - Ice White, Bright Silver, Osmium Grey, Onyx Black and Maple Brown.
