Abandoned vehicles may be mosquito-breeding grounds

-

A FEW abandoned vehicles pose a health risk to residents in Anjung Tawas Sinaran, Anjung Tawas Damai, Taman Tawas Mutiara, Taman Tawas Idaman and Tasek Square Residential in Ipoh, Perak.

The vehicles, at 1 Tawas Business Centre, are not a nuisance to residents, but they could become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Syakir Mohamad, 39, said the business centre was deserted since a number of workshops had closed down.

“Only two or three workshops are open, but there are about 20 abandoned vehicles there.”
