Penang bowlers dominate lanes
PENANG keglers blazed the lanes to recapture the overall title of the Piala Remaja Milo Ranking Masters Grand Finals from defending champions Kedah recently.
The state won three of the five gold medal at stake at the MegaMall Bowling Centre in Prai.
Among the hosts’ bowlers who took honours at the Grand Finals were Muhammad Isyraf Danish (Mixed Under-12), Megat Zaqrul Haiqal Megat Zairudin (Boys’ Under-16) and Ahmad Aidil Abdul Halim (Boys’ Open), while the other two gold medallists were Negri Sembilan's Puteri Nurul Dini and Perak's Nur Alya Safiyya in the Girls Open and Under-16 categories respectively.
The outstanding bowler of the competition was Megat Zaqrul Haiqal Megat Zairudin who dominated the Boys Under-16 and also won the Grand Final title.
The Piala Remaja Milo Ranking Masters is held in Penang, Perak and Kedah. It has also drawn athletes from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor.
