KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional Youth will be embarking on a tour to ensure its election machinery is up and running.

The tour, dubbed “Jelajah Briged Barisan Nasional”, will be launched at the Bagan Serai Mini Stadium in Perak tomorrow.

BN Youth secretary Datuk Muhammad Sahfri Ab Aziz said the programme would be attended by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

“It is the first series of the tour for BN Youth in preparation for the 14th General Election.

“Briged Gempur 2314” is reflective of BN Youth’s preparedness in achieving the coalition’s target of winning a twothirds majority in the election.

“The target is not easy, but at the same time, it is not impossible to meet, based on the ability of the Youth wings in the BN parties.”

Sahfri said based on BN Youth’s service-oriented politics, BN was sure that young voters would continue to return to the coalition’s fold.

He cited programmes — such as the BN Youth Job Fair and the BN Youth Education Scholarship and the BN Youth Lab — as among initiatives carried out for the group.

Sahfri said the launch would be a show of strength and unity among the BN Youth components to continue extending efforts and service for people’s prosperity and wellbeing.

The event, which is open to the public, features basketball and street football contests, a BMX bicycle challenge and a Fifa 2018 video game contest.

There will be street workout sessions, food trucks, graffiti shows and a lucky draw.

A Transformasi Nasional 2050 (TN50) town hall will be held.

Present will be the TN50 youth ambassador Shahril Hamdan. Veena Babulal
