‘No dispute over BN seat allocation’
KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai has refuted claims that there are disputes over the distribution of seats among Barisan Nasional (BN) parties.
Discussions on seat allocations, he said, were ongoing.
MCA had also expressed its desire to contest the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat in Johor.
“There is no dispute over seat allocation among Barisan Nasional (BN) parties.
“We are discussing seat allocations for the 14th General Election (GE14).
“MCA plans to contest the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat for GE14,” he said after the launch of a road safety campaign in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration here yesterday.
Liow added that MCA would work hard to retain its Bentong parliamentary seat.
“We are never afraid to fight with DAP in predominantly Chinese (constituencies).
“DAP has been targeting our seats, and we are ready to face the challenges.”
It was reported that Pakatan Harapan would launch a “100 days before GE14” campaign, which comprises talks.
