Water sharing woes in Puchong

-

SYARIKAT Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) should consider providing water tanks at the new apartment development at Taman Tasik Prima, in Puchong, to ensure there is enough water supply in the neighbourhood.

Desa Idaman Residences Taman Puchong Prima management corporation property manager Henry John said that since the new building was completed in September last year, the residents had been sharing the water of two reserved water tanks.

While there has been no water problem in the neighbourhood, residents at Taman Puchong Prima fear a water shortage is in the offing. “We have lodged complaints with Syabas and the Subang Jaya Municipal Council,” said John.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) corporate communications general manager Siti Zubaidah Zakaria said the new housing development would have its own water supply by 2019.

She said Taman Puchong Prima folk would have to share the water from the two water tanks with Taman Tasik Prima residents for now, but assured that the supply was sufficient for the neighbourhood.

“A new water system will be built for the residence at the new housing development but it will only be completed by next year.

“The water supply is enough for both areas and the residents need not worry. If there is any water shortage in the area, the residents can lodge a complaint with us and we will resolve the problem immediately.”
