WOMAN CHARGED WITH KILLING HUSBAND
Son, 2 teens also charged with murdering man allegedly involved in extramarital affair
AHOUSEWIFE, her teenage son and two other underage boys were charged at the magistrate’s court here on Wednesday with the murder of her husband last week.
Tey Lee Yong, 43, and the three teenagers were accused of murdering Kiu Kok Ying, 45, at a house in Taman Nusa Bestari between 9.30am and 10am on Jan 17.
They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction, and read together with Section 34 of the same code.
No pleas were recorded from the accused.
Magistrate Azureen Sahira Saufee Afandi postponed the case to Feb 28 pending the submission of the post-mortem report.
Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Mohd Nasir appeared for the prosecution, while Tey and her son were represented by counsel Chuah Shyue Chein.
Counsel Ahmad Yusri Ahmad Fuad appeared for one of the accused teens, while the other was unrepresented.
Kiu’s body was found in the living room of the house with stab wounds last week.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim got into a heated argument with his 17-yearold son over the former’s alleged infidelity.
Following the argument, a scuffle broke out between the two, which ended with the teen allegedly stabbing his father in the chest with a kitchen knife.
