Goodday Milk sets record with 50 milkmen on m-cycles

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Goodday Milk earned a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records for its feat in having the “most number of milkmen on motorcycles for milk delivery”.

The unprecedented feat was achieved by having 50 milkmen, dressed in eye-catching attire, ride their motorcycles in the Klang Valley to give away Goodday Milk packets to the public, as part of its Goodday Milk Fest 2017 event, from July 25 to 31.

A total of 34,560 Goodday Milk packets were distributed during the festival period.

In attendance during the Malaysia Book of Records certificate presentation at the Etika Sdn Bhd office was Etika senior brand manager Cheong May Yeen and Malaysia Book of Records senior research journalist Nurasyikin Ramli.

The activities and milk sampling exercise, which formed part of the brand’s commitment to promote the goodness and benefits of milk consumption, also sought to strike a chord with Malaysians by sparking nostalgic childhood memories of milkmen delivering fresh milk in milk canisters on their motorbikes directly to the door.

Etika marketing vice-president Santharuban T. Sundaram said in addition to the distribution of samples, they also wanted to educate consumers in an engaging manner on the goodness contained in each carton of Goodday Milk.

“Hence, Goodday Milk’s approach was to turn it into a fun and unique campaign with plenty of different promotions and rewards that would excite and grab the attention of consumers so that they could try the milk products for themselves. The campaign has proven to be a success and we would like to thank the consumers for having shown their support throughout the campaign,” he said.

Santharuban said the company constantly strived to ensure that every campaign it implemented had a certain degree of innovation.

“We are strong believers in innovation and creativity. This is not only on creative materials, but how we translate these ideas on every single consumer touchpoint.

“Therefore, being recognised for our efforts and receiving this certificate from MBR is a very proud moment for all of us.

“I am honoured that the Malaysia Book of Records has acknowledged our work by giving us this award,” he said.

Goodday Milk has added two new variants to its UHT range, Green Tea and Honey.

Goodday Milk has six products in the UHT Milk category which are available at major retailers, hypermarkets, convenience stores and provision shops nationwide.
