PARTI Cinta Malaysia (PCM) yesterday criticised Pakatan Harapan leaders for claiming that the 14th General Election will be the dirtiest in history. PCM deputy president Datuk Huan Cheng Guan said since 1990, the opposition, particularly DAP, had claimed that every election was the dirtiest in the nation’s history.

He said it was a recycled story and propaganda to win voters’ sympathy.

“Pakatan, especially DAP leaders, can manipulate everything. They have been repeating that come every election.

“If it were true that every election was the dirtiest, then how did the opposition capture Selangor and Penang? It had also won Perak, Kedah and Terengganu in the past.

“If every election were the dirtiest, there would be no Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Lim Guan Eng as the Selangor menteri besar and Penang chief minister respectively. According to the opposition, an election will only be considered clean if it wins.”

Huan claimed that certain leaders from Pakatan and DAP were “serial liars”.

“They don’t have principles and dignity. They are the worst political animals.”

Huan said Barisan Nasional needed more leaders to counter and expose the lies of Pakatan and DAP.

DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang had recently claimed that the 14th General Election was going to be dirtiest in the nation’s history.

Even PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar, in a visit to Penanti, Penang, told party members to prepare themselves for what she called “the dirtiest general election in Malaysian history”.

And, most recently, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had said that Pakatan Harapan had reason to be worried that the general election would be the dirtiest election in Malaysia’s history.
