Bubble mask, anyone?
Mamonde’s latest Flower Facial Mask gives a quick and refreshing fix to dull and fatigued skin, writes Nadia Badarudin
KOREAN beauty and skincare brand, Mamonde continues to uncover the hidden powers and energising nutrients of flowers for the skin with its latest Flower Facial Mask Line. Inspired by the distinctive properties of four selected flowers namely rose, heartleaf houttuynia, calendula and evening primrose, the new range comprises wash-off and leave-on masks such as the Petal Purifying Bubble Mask, Pore Clean Clay Mask, Calming Hydro Sleeping Mask and Enriched Nutri Sleeping Mask. I tried the Petal Purifying Bubble Mask and found it effective in giving a quick and refreshing fix for my dull and fatigued skin.
The rinse-off mask has a texture similar to a clay mask and contains visible rose petals. It also contains green tea and peppermint extracts to help revitalise stressed skin and maintain skin moisture, respectively. In terms of smell, the mask has a sweet scent, just like a rose.
After cleansing, I scooped out a generous amount of the product and applied it onto several parts of my face (except the mouth and eye area) and left it on for one minute. The rose petals are supposed to create micro bubbles that will purify the skin ― and they did just that.
After one minute, I started to feel a tingling sensation on my face and heard a soft crackling sound as the soft, fluffy bubbles were formed. I immediately made a thick lather out of the bubbles and gently spread
it all over my face and left it on for another 10 minutes. After rinsing off with warm water, my skin felt refreshed and looked quite radiant.
The only downside is that the product must be carefully stored, preferably in a dry, cool place. A wet area like the bathroom may cause the product to lose its efficacy.
