PKR leaders feeling the heat, says Faekah
SHAH ALAM: PKR leaders are feeling the heat over the compensation issue involving settlers in Ijok, Selangor.
Special Officer to Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, Faekah Husin, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had yet again failed to offer a satisfactory reply as to why the current state government was trying to “save” the developers who had allegedly treated the settlers, home buyers and the state administration unfairly.
She claimed Azmin did not appear to be interested in handling the issue himself, and believed that statements from Azmin’s political secretary, Mat Suhaimi Shafie, as well as several officers and PKR leaders seeking to explain the issue, were a “directive”.
“In fact, Mat Suhaimi’s response appeared to be more of a personal attack against Khalid and me.
“His act was supported by several individuals who appeared to be feeling the heat from the issue,” she said.
She said Khalid’s exposé on the settlers issue had triggered responses from opposition leaders, including from PKR, to repeat slanderous accusations used during the Kajang Move in 2014, hence the need to issue this statement.
Faekah claimed that, during the campaign to topple Khalid, PKR leaders had distributed a slanderous 91-page document throughout Selangor.
Faekah, who is former chief executive officer of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI), said Khalid was frustrated by the “dirty games” by PKR leaders and handed over documents to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
She said Khalid had filed a defamation suit against PKR and its secretary-general, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution.
She said a year after the Kajang Move, which saw Khalid being removed as Selangor MB, he won the case.
