GO PLACES WITH THIS WHEELCHAIR
HAVING a wheelchair that is able to handle different terrain and slopes would come in handy.
One company, WHILL, has come up with a electric vehicle (PEV) called Model Ci. It not only allows users to move around in comfort safely but also makes one feel less selfconscious when on wheelchairs.
The Model Ci is touted to be a category-defining product, featuring a sleek, fashionable design with advanced driving features, such as a joystick to ensure precise manoeuvrability.
The vehicle’s front omni-wheels are powered by a pair of powerful motors, and this enables users to move around uneven city streets, in addition to off-road terrain.
The Model Ci can be easily disassembled into three components, allowing it to be transported quickly and with ease.
This high-tech ride incorporates app-enabled driving function and boasts multiple driving modes designed to match the driver’s driving style and comfort zone.
A digital battery charge indicator will help ensure that users end up at their destination without having to worry about battery power. This is made possible via Bluetooth connectivity with a compatible mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
The Model Ci is said to be able to travel up to 16 kilometres on a single charge of its lithium-ion battery, with a maximum speed of 8km per hour.
It has enough power to climb hills and conquer rugged terrain yet maintain a high degree of agility when indoors, manoeuvring through tight doorways and confined areas.
