Protect your CROWNING GLORY

THE hair on our head is referred to as one’s `crowning glory’. A person’s hair can say a lot about them, and it may be less than stunning when it is not being taken care of.

Many people put a lot of attention and money into hair maintenance by seeking professional advice buying haircare products and visiting hair salons.

Yet there are some things done in the name of hair care that may damag your hair. You have to be aware that hair care products contain chemicals that may hinder hair development.

For example, hydrogen peroxide in hair colouring is one chemical that can damage your hair, besides other straightening chemicals.

It is be a challenge to find the right hair care product that suits your needs and provide you with the best treatment.

Each person’s hair has a different personality (hair type), and you have to learn to accept its tendencies. For this reason, certain products may work wonderfully with some and not others.

To figure out which products are right for you, you have to consider your type of hair, as well as your hairstyle.

You must choose carefully and resist applying too many cream, conditioners, and lotions. Instead of improving your looks, it may make your tresses rough, dry, and greasy.

The easiest way to maintain healthy-looking hair is as follows:

Moisturise regularly

This will take care of dry and dull hair, which is a problem for many people. After shampooing, you can moisturise by massaging your hair with conditioner, paying attention to your scalp. Leave it on for a few minutes and rinse. There are new kinds of conditioners that do not require rinsing, which are known as leave-on products, available in cream and spray varieties.

Diet

The saying `you are what you eat’ applies to every hair follicle on your head. The health and quality of your hair improve with a few modification to your diet. Increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables is a good start. If you combine this with drinking water every day and reduce your consumption of junk food, you will notice positive changes to your hair.

Trimming

Trimming your hair regularly is ideal. You should take off at least half-an-inch once every two months to keep your hair in excellent form. This will ensure you are always free of split ends, and encourage hair growth.

Also, try to get advice on hair care in salons and beauty departments. It is one step towards your own hair-care routine.
