HONDA Malaysia Sdn Bhd has launched the Honda HR-V Mugen limited edition with a limited run of only 1,020 units.

This is the third Honda model to offer the Mugen package after the Civic Concept Mugen 2.0 limited edition, which was introduced in 2006, and the Concept M models of the Civic and Jazz, which were unveiled in 2010.

The Honda HR-V Mugen is available for the V variant and it is priced at RM118,800, excluding insurance. There is an additional surcharge of RM300 for the latest White Orchid Pearl colour.

It is equipped with a new body kit, which includes a front under spoiler, rear under spoiler, side under spoiler, tailgate spoiler, sporty decal, Mugen gearbox emblem, Mugen exterior emfront blem, grille and carpet mat.

All Mugen parts are from Honda Acexcept cess for the carpet mats.

“The Mugen limited edition HR-V is the result of our customers’ feedback requesting for a sportier and more stylish appearance to complement the practicality of the HR-V. As part of Honcontinuous da’s effort in achieving No.1 in customer satisfaction, were are comcontinue itted to meeting our customexpectations rs’ by offering exciting roducts that fulfil their requirements,” onda Malaysia said in a statement. Since the launch of the HR-V in Feb2015, ary it has received overwhelmresponse g and total registrations of ore than 65,000 units as at January. st year, the model emerged as Honsecond ’s best-selling model, con17 buting per cent of its overall sales d remained in the lead position in the mpact sports utility vehicle segment.

The HR-V was developed with maximum space utilisation in mind. Its large legroom for driver and passengers provides maximum comfort and reduces strain, especially during long journeys.

The multi-utility cargo space offers larger trunk space, which can be adjusted through the vehicle’s versatile rear seat configuration modes — utility mode, tall mode and long mode.

The utility mode allows the rear seats to be lowered to increase the space in the boot. The tall mode allows space to be freed from floor to ceiling with the rear seats folded for tall items to be fitted in and the long mode will enable long items to be carried in the car with front and rear seats reclined. These allow HR-V users to obtain their desired space for their travel usage, providing convenience and practicality for everyone.

The spacious headroom of the HR-V eases the movement of passengers and driver in and out of the car. The width and the angle of the front-pillars were designed to enable a wider viewing angle.

Supported by the height of the HRV, drivers will have a better view of the road and their surroundings.

Powering the HR-V is a 1.8L i-VTEC SOHC engine mated to the Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology Continuous Variable Transmission to offer a smooth driving experience and fuel efficient performance.

The vehicle is also one of Honda Malaysia’s model to be certified as an energy efficient vehicle.

The Honda HR-V comes with a highlevel of active and passive occupant protection, which features 5-Star Asean NCAP rating, six airbags, which is available in the V variant only.

It is also fitted with electric parking brake with auto brake hold, vehicle stability assist and hill start assist.

Although the demand for the HR-V remains high, Honda Malaysia is committed to deliver the vehicles to its customers in a timely manner and the waiting period for model remains between one to two months.
