RM49m projects for Negri

SEREMBAN: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced yesterday that eight constructi­on projects and facilities upgrading works in the state totalling RM49 million have been approved.

Zahid, who is also Barisan Nasional (BN) deputy chairman, said the fact that the projects were approved was proof that the government was committed to providing convenienc­e and comfort to the people.

He said the request from Rembau folk for a community hall in Taman Satria Senawang here had been approved. The other projects include restoring the collapsed cliff in Kampung Sentosa Jaya, upgrading works on a bridge in the Kuala Sawah Industrial area and the upgrading of lamp posts in Taman Angsamas and Tuanku Mambau Club.

“On the constructi­on of SK Bandar Seri Sendayan at a cost of RM30 million, I will inform Economic Planning Unit directorge­neral Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid to prioritise the project.

“The proposed alternativ­e road in Taman Tuanku Jaafar to the Seremban-Tampin Road, upgrading works in Mukim Rantau, and upgrading works on the drainage system in Taman Marida, Taman Satria and Taman Seri Pagi are also approved,” he said at the Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat programme in Taman Satria here yesterday.

Zahid said he would discuss the projects with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan and Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
