BDB group managing director Izham dies at 50
KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB) group managing director Datuk Izham Yusoff, 50, died after having difficulty breathing while jogging yesterday.
Group corporate communications senior manager Sajahan Abdul Waheed said Izham was pronounced dead at Pantai Hospital at 8.05am.
“(Izham) leaves wife Datin Joani Sofina Othman, 49, a son and a daughter,” he said in a statement.
Izham was appointed to the BDB board on Aug 19, 2013, and later was re-designated as non-independent executive director and group managing director on Feb 1, 2014.
Prior to working with BDB, he was the managing director and chief executive officer of Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Bhd (PNMB) from February 2010 until January 2014.
He was also the managing director and chief executive officer of Amanah Raya Bhd from 2002 until 2004, managing director and chief executive of KUB Malaysia Bhd from 2004 until 2007, executive director/ chief operating officer of Ninebio Sdn Bhd from 2007 until 2010, and director of Bursa Malaysia Bhd.
He was also appointed as a member of the investment panel of Lembaga Tabung Haji from Oct 1, 2015.
Izham was buried at the Bukit Kiara Muslim ceremony, after prayers at the At-Taqwa mosque in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
