PETALING JAYA: Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (Rehda) is targeting a higher sales of RM500 million for Malaysia Property Expo 2018 (Mapex 2018), from the estimated RM300 million last year.

Mapex committee chairman and Rehda patron Datuk Ng Seing Liong said the target was achievable as almost all the 60 participating developers would offer their best prices possible.

“We have currently confirmed the participation of 40 property developers for this year’s expo. We are expecting that the number will grow as Mapex draws nearer,” said Ng, here, yesterday.

He said household names like IJM Land Bhd, Glomac Bhd dan Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd had confirmed their participation.

Besides developers, Mapex 2018 will also see the participation of financial institutions as well as government bodies and agencies.

“As a one-stop destination for real estate, Mapex 2018 will also feature industry players like National Housing Department, Housing and Strata Management Tribunal, Institusi Kewangan Perumahan Sektor Awam, Rumah Wilayah Persekutuan dan Rumah Selangorku,” said Ng.

The expo will also feature all kinds of real estates ranging for strata developments, commercial developments and landed houses.

Mapex 2018 will also host a number of interactive events such as discussions with real estate experts, a blood donation drive and cash prizes.

“Fifteen lucky house buyers will be able to win cash prizes amounting to RM30,000 each for every property purchase at Mapex 2018,” he said.

The event will be held at the Midvalley Exhibition Hall on April 27 to 29. It is open to public from 10am to 9pm.
