FEMININE and classy — the second edition of the exquisite Jovian White collection leaves one spoilt for choice. Last year, Jovian White made its debut with mesmerising signature readyto-wear bridal gowns.

For the latest line, there are 15 masterfully-designed looks. Each piece in the premium collection caters to different personas and celebrates every body shape and style, with white and ivory as staple shades.

Creative director and CEO Datuk Jovian Mandagie says the brand decided on a second edition due to overwhelming positive feedback from clients.

“Our customers just loved the concept of Jovian White and we are delighted to come up with more designs under this label,” he says.

“I get goosebumps every time I see brides wearing pieces from the line!”

While the classic silhouettes are a nod to traditional glamour, Mandagie adds unexpected details to update these gowns.

The techniques of working on heavy crepe, chiffon, sequin and shantung give the gowns a subtle couture touch.

High-collared necklines, unique sleeve constructions as well as light tulle and lace are layered toflauntinsteadofmask a bride’s frame.

And fret not if you fear the white and ivory colour palette will result in a dull appeal because the famed couturier has not held back in his mastery of intricate beading and other delicate embellishments to capture attention with this collection.

One element of this collection stands out — sophistication.

At a time when brides are competing to pull off daring feats with their bridal wear, from dramatic veils to long trains and voluminous detailing, design elements stripped down to highlight poise is a breath of fresh air. For that, Jovian White deserves applause.
