Bront Palarae is impressed by Rosyam Nor’s commitment

- By Tahir Alhamzah

HE may have won several best actor awards in his 18-year career in the local entertainment scene, but actor Bront Palarae humbly takes his hat off to actor Datuk Rosyam Nor for setting a high bar in the industry.

“Look at him, having performed his own stunts for KL Special Force at his age.

“He’s just pushed the shelf life further up for all of us,” said Bront, 39, in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, recently.

In the action blockbuster directed by Syafiq Yusof, the 51year-old Rosyam even jumped off a seven-storey building, as insisted by the director for a more realistic result.

“So, there’s no reason for us younger actors not to be inspired and to take a leaf out of his solid book.

“That is the kind of commitment which separates a star from the rest,” said Bront, who is also a screenwriter, director and producer.

He had just wrapped up filming cybertech action thriller Proksi, in which Rosyam is part of the cast.

Another experienced actor in the cast is Faizal Hussein.

“To act together with Rosyam and Faizal is like being in the front seat with them on a roller coaster.

“There’s nothing better than that.”

In the film produced by FEG and directed by Zulkarnain Azhar (who directed last year’s hit action movie J Revolusi), the hunky actor plays Sam, an assistant to Aman (played by Ashraf Sinclair).

They are both professional hackers in the action thriller, which is expected to be released next year.
