KUALA LUMPUR: Videos of parents jumping off a bridge in Kuala Kubu Baru, Selangor, with their children have gone viral.

Mohd Redha Rozlan of Ninja Warrior Vietnam was one of the participants of the stunt designed for adrenaline junkies.

In the videos, Redha is seen jumping off a bridge while attached to a safety rope, with his daughter strapped to his back.

Redha is the first Malaysian who made it into Ninja Warrior ,a Japanese sports entertainment television series in which competitors attempt to complete a four-stage obstacle course.

The action of these parents has drawn praise and criticism from Netizens. Some said the parents were brave, while others felt it risked the lives of children.

Mohd Shafiq Azmi, the operator of an outdoor sports company that conducts the activity, said the jump adhered to safety requirements.

“All equipment is inspected by our staff before someone does the jump, which is from a height of 60m. I understand that safety is a concern as this activity is the first of its kind in Malaysia.

“We adhere to safety requirements, especially in the equipment used, such as safety ropes, by engaging qualified service providers.”

He said more than 200 people had made the jump since he started the activity about a year ago.
