Forest City marks 2nd anniversar­y with a bang

KUALA LUMPUR: Country Garden Pacific View Sdn Bhd threw a grand four-hour beach party for its customers to commemorat­e the second anniversar­y of Forest City’s global release.

This was the first beach bash for Forest City this year.

Forest City’s global launching was on March 6 2016.

Forest City, which covers a planning area of nearly 30 sq km, is scheduled to be completed over 25-30 years.

It is adopting the concept of vertical greening, with parks scattered around the ground and plants growing on the exterior walls of buildings.

It is also building a 3D multilayer­ed city, with plans to introduce green transport such as rail transit links and electric vehicles, undergroun­d road planning and three-dimensiona­l traffic.

Country Garden said to help realise the city-industry integratio­n and the goal of city flourishin­g with industry, Forest City had introduced eight major industries, namely tourist attraction­s, education hub, healthcare, foreign investment, off-shore finance, e-commerce centres, emerging technologi­es, and green and smart industry.

The internatio­nal club-house, infinity pool, water park and beach park are open to the public for now.

The marina commercial streets, Phoenix Hotel and golf course resort are also open, it added.

One of its golf courses was designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II.

Country Garden said a new five-star hotel was scheduled to start operating this year while the famous boarding school Shattuck-St Mary’s School will open in August.
