TNB invites abstracts for CEPSI 2018

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is calling for abstracts for technical papers on electricit­y supply from profession­als to be presented in an internatio­nal conference to be held in September.

TNB chief corporate officer Datuk Roslan Ab. Rahman said TNB, as host of the Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) 2018, was calling for the technical papers for the event from Sept 17-22, here.

“We are accepting abstracts from profession­als in the electricit­y supply industry,” said Roslan who is also Associatio­n of the Electricit­y Supply Industry of East Asia and the Western Pacific (AESIEAP) 2017/2018 secretaryg­eneral.

“The technical papers should fall under any of the eight identified categories — Sustainabi­lity and Green Energy; Generation and Future Alternativ­es; Transmissi­on and Future Grid; Distributi­on and Advanced Network; Smart Grid and New Technology; ICT and Innovation; Retail and Customer Service; and Business Transforma­tion.

“Details about the categories and guidelines for submitting the abstracts and papers can be accessed from www.cepsi2018k­l.org,” he said, adding that the closing date for submission of the papers was April 16.

The selected papers will be presented at the technical sessions of CEPSI 2018. The sessions are for the sharing of case studies, onsite lessons and experience­s, overview of recent technologi­es and design strategies, and industry best practices.

Registrati­on for individual and group for the 22nd edition of CEPSI 2018 is open.

Over 1,500 delegates, comprising industry leaders, senior executives, government officials and profession­al experts from all over the world are expected to attend the conference.
