As I Am A fitness instructor, I exercise every dAy. I teAch clAsses such As zumbA, MAsAlA BhAngrA workout, HiLo Aerobics, Aeroboxing And MTV dAnce workout.

WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS AIM?

To be fit And heAlthy, to educAte people on the importAnce of exercise As A lifestyle And not only for fun.

ARE YOU A GYM JUNKIE OR OUTDOOR EXERCISER?

Gym. I only engAge in outdoor exercises when I’m teAching zumbA. My clAsses Are At TAmAn TAsik LembAh KiArA in TAmAn Tun Dr IsmAil, KuAlA Lumpur every SundAy morning, which I hAve been holding for 12 yeArs.

HOW DO YOU GET OVER BEING TOO LAZY TO EXERCISE? By focusing on the reAson why I stArted exercising. My goAl is to be fit And heAlthy so I need to be discipline­d when doing it. There is no shortcut to success.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WORKOUT? HOW DO YOU RECOVER FROM A HARD WORKOUT?

I mAke sure I get enough rest, eAt proper meAls And drink lots of wAter.

WHAT IS THE ONE FOOD YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT? HOW DO YOU PREVENT INJURY?

By wArming up before exercise. It is very importAnt becAuse we need to grAduAlly increAse the heArt rAte And circulAtio­n which helps loosen the joints And increAse blood flow to the muscles. Stretching the muscles prepAre them for physicAl Activity And prevents injuries.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO GET PEOPLE TO EXERCISE? Exercise is one of the most importAnt steps to mAnAge your weight And stAy heAlthy. You Also feel hAppy And less stressed After exercising.

WHAT’S THE ONE THING THAT EXERCISE HAS TAUGHT YOU?

It hAs tAught me to do my best And be brAve enough to embrAce individuAl­ity. It hAs Also tAught me not to tAke Anything for grAnted And AppreciAte everything in my life.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE WORKOUT MEMORY? When my MAsAlA BhAngrA workout teAm And I were selected to perform on stAge during the fitness pArty for Score FitMob MAlAysiA in front of 6,000 people.
