RHB Banking Group (RHB Bank) plans to establish more credit card partnerships this year, targeting to have 20 such arrangements by end of this year from 11 currently.

Managing director Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli said the bank is committed to offering the very best to its clients, and partnerships with different organisations can help meet this objective.

“We have just launched this new plan early this year and received great response to it. Those who want to purchase RM50,000 bicycles can use their RHB Bank credit card to buy it through an installment plan,” he said at a media briefing after the launch of the RHB Shimano Highway Ride @ LEKAS 2018 bicycle race.

The night-cycling event is a joint effort by RHB Bank, Shimano Singapore Pte Ltd and Lebuhraya Kajang-Seremban Sdn Bhd and will take place on August 18.

It is the only night-cycling event held in Malaysia on a fully lighted-up and closed highway, and will start at E21 Kajang Selatan Toll Plaza of the Kajang–Seremban Highway (Lekas).

More than 4,000 participants from multiple age groups are expected to take part this year.

At the launch yesterday, the Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) was appointed as the first ever ambassador of the race.

“There is a growing interest in cycling among youngsters, as witnessed in the race last year where more than 300 youths and children participated in the event.

“We hope to attract more youths to engage in both leisure and competitive cycling to achieve a wholesome lifestyle with a healthy body, mind and soul,” said Khairussaleh.
