It seems that more and more celebrities are venturing into the beauty industry. They either join hands with existing brands or they take the plunge to launch their own range of make-up. The beauty industry wins as the celebrity’s star power will reap in great sales due to the publicity. Remember when Rihanna (right) launched her own make-up line and almost every girl went gaga over her collection?

The collection was highly anticipated and became an overnight success with products being swiped away across shelves in Sephora. Suddenly, everyone was parading their own Fenty Beauty products, looking as bronzy and sparkly as Rihanna.

The success behind Fenty Beauty is self-explanatory - Rihanna.

The pop star is highly influential and is sought after as a trendsetter, so launching her own make-up line only adds more sparkle to her star power.

Celebrities are privileged in that whatever they venture into (outside of their craft) will likely rope in success much faster than non-celebs.

While there have been famous A-list Hollywood celebrities who have launched their own beauty brands like Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty somehow spawned a bigger hype among makeup mavens.

OMG yes! Jennifer Lopez is dipping her toes into the world of beauty. I don’t know how she does it but she looks glowingly better with age. While she won’t be releasing an exclusive make-up line, the Jenny From The Block singer has collaborated with Inglot Cosmetics to release about 70 products.

You name it, the collection has it... everything from mascara to eyeshadows, lipsticks and more! She did say she wanted the products to represent what she would like and what she would use. So now we know. Needless to say, the collection will definitely be of good quality.

The best part? The singer will also be making tutorial videos on how to apply make-up as she wants to show how best to use the products. Yay! The full collection will be available later this month. I can’t wait to see what J.Lo has in store for us!
