Groups give their take on Najib-led BN govt
KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional’s ability to survive was due to its capability to implement and deliver the promises it made to the people.
Federation of Malay Students Union (GPMS) president Zambri Mohd Isa said BN’s vast experience, good history and proven track record had brought Malaysia to where it was now.
“BN is a coalition that has proven its ability to develop the country and remains as the main choice for the people due to its clear direction and policies.
“The past and recently launched manifestos are testament that the BN-led government has the ability to implement and deliver what is promised,” he said.
Zambri said safeguarding the wellbeing of the people of all races had also been the priority of BN.
“All races in the country are equally assisted, regardless of their political stance and belief.
“BN is not only for the Malays, but for all races. The coalition has been promoting diversity for so long and has very good governance in terms of social mobility for all races,” he said on why BN should be given the mandate to continue ruling the country.
Malaysia Youth Council secretary-general Ahmad Saparudin Yusup said the BN-led government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had successfully implemented the National Transformation Programme (NTP) and the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
He said even the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had given the thumbs up to Malaysia for being on the right track to achieve the developed-nation status.
Saparudin shared his experience in attending an international youth forum in Istanbul two years ago, where other international representatives had expressed admiration for Najib’s leadership.
Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia (PPIM) lead activist Datuk Nadzim Johan said he believed that Malaysia would continue to be admired internationally, especially for its stance on issues concerning the interests of Muslims.
When United States president Donald Trump recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, he said even Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had contacted Najib to share his concerns on the matter.
