Tabung Haji opens Tanjung Malim branch

-

TANJUNG MALIM: Lem bag a Tabung Haji yesterday launched its newest branch office here, which will benefit more than 22,000 depositors in the district.

The branch office was officiated by a member of its board of directors, Datuk Rosni Sohar.

Also present were group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Johan Abdullah and Tabung Haji senior management.

The Tanjung Malim branch is the 14th branch in the state, and is part of the company’s initiative to give the best service to its depositors and members of the surrounding community.

The branch will also serve its customers on the Perak-Selangor border.

Rosni advised depositors who had dormant Tabung Haji accounts to activate their accounts, by either withdrawing or depositing money into their accounts.

This was important, she said, to allow the depositors to be able to receive all the benefits from their accounts, such as annual dividends or bonuses (hibah), as well as haj hibah.

Dormant or inactive accounts are accounts which have not recorded any transactions in seven years. These accounts do not qualify for benefits.

Services available at the new branch includes the opening of Tabung Haji accounts, as well as transactions and matters related to the haj, savings as well as the naming of heirs.

As part of its efforts to improve the quality of its services, Tabung Haji welcomes feedback from depositors.
