MCA: WHAT ARE DAP’S REAL POLICIES?

U-turns and flirtations with other parties show ‘irresponsibility’

AFTER making u-turns and flirting dangerously and irresponsibly, MCA yesterday demanded DAP to come clean on its real policies.

MCA publicity spokesman Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker said DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang had all this while said it was DAP’s policies that had won them the people’s support.

“However, one starts to wonder what really are DAP’s policies after the party made u-turns and flirted dangerously and irresponsibly with Semangat 46, Pas, PKR, Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) and the provisionally dissolved Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM).

“DAP stands for ‘Democratic Action Party’, but to date the party has failed to elect Malays into its central working committee.

“In the spirit of democracy, Malays being the majority in this country should be rightfully voted into their highest decisionmaking authority, but DAP has failed to do this,” he said yesterday.

Ti said DAP had been under Lim’s iron-grip for more than four decades and he had systematically removed and ousted all dissidents and leaders who failed to tow his line.

“DAP is more a ‘Dictatorial Action Party’ than a democratic one.

“It does not tolerate any dissent or differences of opinions from within.

“Its claim to be a socialist party is also a fallacy,” he said, drawing reference to Penang.

In Penang, he noted, the party had focused on luxury housing at the expense of the poor and ordinary rakyat.

“In reality, the Penang DAP government is capitalist-friendly. Gone are the days when the party pretended to be env i ron m e nt a llyfriendly.

“It has stopped preaching the principles of competency, accountability and transparency, but instead has entangled itself in perceived and actual acts of corruption and cover-ups,” he said.

Ti pointed out that in Selangor, the party continued to govern together with Pas despite public assurance that it was no longer with Pas.

“To make things worse, the party has adopted parties like Parti Amanah Negara and PPBM into its fold.”
