Residents happy with hospital’s proximity and services

SHAH ALAM: Some 625,000 residents here were delighted when Shah Alam Hospital (HSAS) opened its doors two years ago.

They said the hospital was one of the best places for patients to seek treatment as it was equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and was near residential areas to ensure accessibility and efficiency, and to better serve the community.

Prior to this, residents had to go for treatment at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang, 10km from here.

Newly-married couple Reduan Mohd Azhari, 33, and his wife, Nur Izzati Abdul Latif, 27, said they considered themselves lucky since HSAS was not far from their home.

“My wife gave birth to our first child at HSAS last year.

“It offers comfortable and excellent services. The hospital, which is 3km from my house, is my family’s first choice when it comes to healthcare.

“I recommend residents here and people in neighbouring areas to seek treatment at HSAS due to its efficient and quality healthcare, as well as its excellent patient services.”

A patient who frequents HTAR, Nurhazah Ibrahim, 30, said HSAS had reduced the number of patients going to Klang hospital.

“Recently, I received treatment at the Emergency Department (at night) at HSAS.

“There were not many patients and I felt comfortable.

“I did not have to wait long to receive treatment.

“The staff made announcements on the number of patients waiting for treatment and the

number of doctors on duty that night. This is important for people to know about the hospital’s situation.”

Mother-of-three Noorazeimah Elias, 34, said she chose to give birth to her third child at HSAS as it was 5km from her house.

“Apart from the distance between my home and the hospital, the treatment and services offered at the delivery ward during my six-day stay were excellent.

“InsyaAllah (God willing), if there is an emergency, HSAS is our top choice. “I recommend this hospital to expecting mothers since it has complete facilities,” Noorazeimah said.
