POLICE yesterday released images of one of the suspects who gunned down Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysia Institute lecturer Dr Fadi M.R. Albatsh on Saturday.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said the photo was obtained following the discovery of the motorcycle used by the two men near Tasik Danau Kota.

“We believe the duo are in the country and those who have information should contact the police.”

He said the men were believed to have entered the country at the end of January using fake identification documents.

When asked whether the suspects were Mossad intelligence agents, he said police had no information on that but did not rule out the possibility that they had military training.

Friends, embassy officials and students of the lecturer were seen going in and out of Selayang Hospital’s forensic unit yesterday morning, prior to his body being released.

His younger brother, Dr Rami Albatsh, who arrived from Germany on Sunday evening, was there to facilitate the process of flying his body back to Gaza yesterday evening.

Palestinian embassy officials helped in the release process and paid their last respects to Fadi.

Earlier, two embassy officials were seen discussing the release of Fadi’s remains.

Fadi’s body was taken to Surau Medan Idaman in Taman Setapak here at noon before being flown home.

Those with information on the case should contact the investigating officer, Assistant Superintendent Shahrizal Salleh, at 017-7134705 or any police station.
