‘Opposition’s Putrajaya event had outsiders’

-

KEPALA BATAS: The opposition has to resort to lies and games to deceive people that they have the strength to take over Putrajaya in the 14th General Election (GE14).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said this was evident at a rally in Putrajaya recently where the opposition had brought in outsiders while claiming it had attracted a sea of civil servants to attend.

He said many of them were not civil servants.

“They imported people from outside and claimed that the people in Putrajaya supported them.

“This is the kind of political games they are playing.

“They are willing to go to great lengths to ensure their goals are met,” he told the more than 5,000 people at a gathering here yesterday.

He said this was unlike the crowd at Barisan Nasional-organised ceramah and gatherings.

“Just look at today’s (yesterday) event. Look at the crowd. They are all locals.

“We do not need to ferry in outsiders by the busloads to attend our event.

“We (BN) have the strength all across the country. And with this strong support, BN will return to power on May 9.

“Trust me, this strength of ours is not something easy for the opposition to copy,” he said to loud cheers from the crowd.

He warned the people not to be hoodwinked by what the opposition said.

He said they (the opposition) were not interested in the truth, and only went about saying what it wanted and was good for them.

He cited the open dialogue by 1Malaysia Development Bhd president and chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy in Balik Pulau recently, where no opposition leaders were present.

“This is the season for lies and slander.

“This is the season for the slander tsunami.

“This is used as a weapon to incite hatred towards the government.”
