Perak BN rep: I’m not crossing over

-

IPOH: Tualang Sekah assemblyman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi said while she has decided to support Perak Pakatan Harapan so that the coalition can form the state government, she is still a Barisan Nasional member.

She said on her Facebook account that her decision was made for the sake of the people.

Nolee Ashilin, who won with a 1,099-vote majority, said Perak BN failed to form the government when the party secured only 27 seats.

Pas obtained three seats but it refused to collaborate with BN exclusively.

On that note, she said she resolved to give support to the PH menteri besar candidate to ensure that the establishment of the state government was in accordance with the procedure.

“However, I stress that I am not leaving BN and I am still a BN representative. I apologise and I am ready for the next cause of action that will be taken by the leaders,” she said.

BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said yesterday no action would be taken against the two assemblymen who supported PH.

“No point (to take action). We respect their decision as this is a democratic process.”

Yesterday, Perak PH chairman and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman Ahmad Faizal Azumu was appointed the 12th menteri besar after obtaining a simple majority following two BN assemblymen, Nolee and Sungai Mani assemblyman Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin, pledging their support for PH.
