‘Return stolen items or face action’

-

SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to those who have “taken away” electrical appliances at several balai raya (community halls) to return the items or face action.

He said the state government had received complaints that items, such as air-conditioning units, fans and even electrical wiring, had been removed or reported missing, thus affecting activities at the halls.

He said several Kemas kindergartens at community halls were affected.

“We have received reports of missing items at some community halls in the state.

“We believe irresponsible parties had uninstalled them. This is an irresponsible act, especially when Kemas classes are being held there.

“These items belong to the state government. It is a crime to take the items without permission.

“We hope those who are responsible for this will return and reinstall these items, or else, we will lodge a police report.

“We are giving the culprits 24 hours to do so,” he said.

On another note, Aminuddin hoped that all Kemas kindergarten teachers would continue holding the classes, despite them being hired by the previous state government.

“The rumour that their services will be terminated is untrue and baseless.

“We welcome all state government employees will continue to contribute and work with us to ensure continued success and prosperity in the state.”

Aminuddin will officially clock in for duty at Wisma Negeri today.

On the line-up of the state executive council members, he said the matter was under discussion.
