I was robbed by helper, claims businessman Aliff Syukri

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Cosmetic entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman claims to have been robbed by one of his helpers on Wednesday, losing more than RM40,000.

Aliff Syukri, 30, said he was robbed of cash and furniture by the woman, who had been working for him for a few months.

He said he recovered the furniture after tracking down the woman, in her 50s, who was believed to be staying at a bungalow in Shah Alam.

He posted on his Instagram three pictures and screengrabs from two videos related to the incident.

“I only wanted to help her, a local, when I took her in. I assigned her to keep the mobile phone that I use for business.

“She betrayed my trust and stole cash and items from me.

“I don’t know if other items are involved.

“It was not my intention to shame her (by making the pictures and videos viral), but I have repeatedly asked her to return my belongings.

“She refused to do so. I had no choice but to bring her to the police station.

“I also learnt that she had cheated my customers.

“She asked them to deposit money meant for cosmetic products into her account.

“I believe she has accomplices,” said Aliff Syukri.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said a report had been lodged on the incident and that investigations were ongoing.
