4As, Astro organise ‘IPA Strategic Planning Bootcamp’

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Malaysia (4As), in partnership with Astro, will organise the “IPA Strategic Planning Bootcamp” at Aloft Hotel, here, on July 2-3 .

4As said the bootcamp, a Chartered Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) course, was aimed at strengthening the strategic planning skills of Malaysian marketing and advertising professionals.

The course is intended for midto senior-level marketing and advertising professionals and will be conducted by IPA’s top trainer in strategy planning and industry veteran, Paul Arnold.

“In this era of big data, radical disruption, and unprecedented change, the ability for marketers to think and plan strategically has become a prerequisite in making sense of an increasingly fragmented and competitive marketplace,” it said.

The first day of the bootcamp will focus on “How to Develop Significantly More Effective Communications”, while the second day is built around “How to Influence the Purchasing Decision”.

4As chief executive officer Khairudin Rahim said under- standing and applying the principles of behavioural economics was fundamental in learning how marketing decisions were made in relation to influencing customer purchase choices.

“With a career spanning nearly three decades in senior positions at leading agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey, and his training as a psychologist, we are fortunate to have secured Paul Arnold to conduct the bootcamp,” he said.

4As president Andrew Lee said one of 4As’ main objectives was to raise industry standards through continuous professional development and it was delighted to have Astro as a partner.

“The bootcamp is another milestone in our alliance with IPA as it has once again agreed for 4As to run its bespoke United Kingdom industry course locally, using an IPA-endorsed trainer,” he said.

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis and closes on June 18, with limited seats available.

Course fees are Human Resources Development Fund claimable, and cost RM3,200 for 4As members, and RM3,800 for non-members.
