THIS fasting month, Sheraton Petaling Jaya is offering an Arabian Night Dinner Buffet in the ballroom while Feast-all day dining has arranged for a Citarasa Malaysia spread that brings back the nostalgic memories from your mother’s kitchen. Arabian Night describes the taste and flavour of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine across the region for diners to indulge in after a day of fasting.
This wholesome spread is served at the ballroom until June 8, while Citarasa Malaysia at Feast is served throughout the month of Ramadan until June 14 and showcases local delicacies and hometown favourites. Both venues will serve this delicious spread from 7pm to 10.30pm.
Among the dishes prepared for the Arabian Night buffet by live action stations are roast whole lamb with saffron rice and grilled vegetables, spicy chicken kebab, lamb kebab, shish kebab and shish taouk (chicken).
There are over 80 dishes served daily. Some of the highlights are tabbouleh, chicken fattoush, lamb samosa, falefel, hummus, baba ghanoush, Arabian lentil soup, lamb tagine with cous cous, hammour harra (fish), tiger prawn with garlic and Labanese beef steak.
The delicious dessert station with Umm Ali sweetens the deal. Diners will be entertained by melodious tunes.
Some of the familiar tastes of local delights prepared for Feast are asam pedas tumis darat ikan tenggiri, siput sedut masak lemak cili api, gulai ayam dengan terung pipit, udang masak daun limau purut, Hong Kong yee mee in chicken broth with fish ball, chicken, vegetable and seaweed, chicken murtabak and roti boom, braised ee fu with Pacific blue crab meat, butter prawn with salted egg, braised Japanese tofu with broccoli, steamed patin fish with spicy bean sauce, gulai patin tempoyak, ayam percik kelantan, daging goreng kunyit kacang panjang, paru-paru goreng berlada, burung puyuh goreng berempah, kupang masak kalio and, not forgetting the refreshing ABC.
These delicious spreads are priced at RM108 nett for the Arabian dinner and RM138 nett for Citarasa Malaysia. Children aged 5 - 11 years old get a 50 per cent discount.
