TNB RAYA AD SHINES BRIGHT
60-second story highlights tolerance, patience and togetherness
TENAGA Nasional Bhd (TNB) yesterday released its new short film and television commercial for Hari Raya Aidilfitri that highlights the message of tolerance and family togetherness.
The commercial shows a typical Malay household and centres around a boy helping his grandmother with house chores for the big day.
The 60-second story, titled “Rumah Epik Fantastik” , focuses on dilemmas faced by Malaysians, especially during festive seasons.
The commercial shows that despite the hustle and bustle of a big celebration, everything will turn out fine as a result of tolerance and togetherness.
“The commercial aims to highlight values of tolerance, patience and togetherness.
“In the tradition of TNB, we always produce commercials with happy vibes. We not only light up people’s lives with electricity, but we also want to bring light and happiness to people.
“Malaysians are known for their give-and-take attitude. In the story, we can see that even though the house is small, it is still comfortable for those gathering in it,” said TNB chief corporate officer Datuk Wira Roslan Ab Rahman during the commercial’s exclusive preview.
“I believe every Malaysian is familiar with the sacrifices we have to make whenever we go back to our hometown for Hari Raya Aidilfitri or other festive occasions. I hope everyone will stick together, regardless of situations or differences.”
Filming was done mainly in Banting, Selangor. The commercial involved 37 extras on top of the main actors.
The public can visit TNB’s official Youtube site to watch the short film.
The TV commercial will be aired from June 11 onwards.
