JUST like in previous years, some of the biggest game developers and publishers took centre stage to share what they are currently working on. Here are some of the most notable: 1. KINGDOM HEARTS 3 FINALLY GETS A RELEASE DATE The last time gamers had a main entry to the Kingdom Hearts series, not including the remasters, was in 2005.

Earlier this year, Square Enix showed off a new trailer with minor story and gameplay teasers, with a 2018 release window stated at the end.

Slightly ahead of E3 2018, Square Enix decided to build hype for its E3 presentation

by announcing the game’s final release date.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is now confirmed for a Jan 29, 2019 release.

While not much explanation was given for the delay, game director Tetsuya Nomura apologised and stated that they needed more time before they could release the game. On the plus side, a very interesting trailer was shown for the game at E3 2018.

The new trailer showcased a number of Disney-related characters and worlds in the game, namely from Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean and Toy Story.

However, what stood out for series fanatics is the appearance of Kingdom Hearts’ Aqua, who came out from a dark mist and is now sporting the golden eyes reminiscent of those who have succumbed to darkness or Xehanort’s will. How did this happen? We’ll have to wait until the game is finally released.
